What is an exemption?

Exemptions are approved deviations from ministerial regulations or declarations, your curriculum, or the IT University's rules. Student Affairs and Programmes receives exemptions applications, which are normally applied for due to special circumstances.

Examples of exemptions

Generally, you can apply for exemptions for either rules described in the curriculum or in the relevant regulations. There are rules that cannot be granted an exemption.
In addition, you can apply for an exemption from part of the university's own rules.

For instance, you can apply for exemptions if you, due to special circumstances, will need special terms regarding your exam or if you need to apply for more than two exam attempts.
